The first stage of hemodialysis in the RCH was opened in April 2011. With the opening of this station the problem of expensive dialysis care availability in Samara region has been completely solved without additional costs for the regional budget, which at the time belonged to the high-tech medical care. The first stage of dialysis station was completed by 25 artificial kidneys and met the demands Samara and adjacent areas in hemodialysis until 2015.
Generally at the beginning of 2015 in Samara region 1033 persons received substitutive renal therapy with one of the methods. 734 people are on long term hemodialysis (71%). Total availability of substitutive renal therapy in Samara region on January 1, 2015 was 322 patients per 1 million people. Using this indicator Samara region is among the three leaders in the Volga territory (Ulyanovsk Region and the Republic of Tatarstan).
With the annual growth of the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy, in 2015 the city again has the need to increase the capacity of dialysis departments, Samara region government press relation service has reported.
A new dialysis station was opened in Samara
On Sunday, 2nd of August the ceremony of putting into operation the second stage of hemodialysis station for 20 artificial kidneys was held on the basis of the surgical case "Road Clinical Hospital". The opening of the second stage will increase the total number of seats in the department of dialysis up to 45 and enhance the ability of patients to receive treatment.The first stage of hemodialysis in the RCH was opened in April 2011.
