The department of X-ray and functional diagnostics of the center will use modern non-invasive methods of heart research in the 128-slice CT scanner PHILIPS, equipped with special software that allows to get quick and accurate answers of all questions of patient and cardiologist.
Currently, computer tomography (CT) of heart and blood vessels is one of the most accurate methods for studying the tiniest lesions and abnormalities of heart and blood vessels. Its timely realization enables the consulting physician to get accurate diagnosis without error. CT is widely used in the diagnosis of various cardiovascular diseases. Indications to this kind of X-ray diagnosis has greatly expanded in recent years thanks to the technical improvements of the method, scanning rate increase and growth of spatial resolution.
The treatment success of many human diseases directly depends on how timely, fast and accurate diagnostic examination is conducted. According to the World Health Association, the main mortality causes in economically developed countries around the world, including Russia, are the cardiovascular diseases. The top list of these diseases take atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, cerebral strokes, and then Miocardial Infarctions. The fact of electrocardiogram changes without pain is considered to be an adverse factor. But many people are not even aware of the presence of heart irregularities, and not always ask for health care, but the lack of timely and adequate therapy leads to serious complications and sudden death. That is why it is important to perform diagnosis of heart and blood vessels for all women after 45 and men after 35 years on a regular and timely basis.
