Samara Regional Governor Nikolai Merkushkin identified two main projects of particular social importance for the region, which will allow to reach a qualitatively new level of medical services. And the first project, which was mentioned by Nikolai Ivanovich, has become the construction project of a new cardiac surgery center in Samara: "As a result of the project a new medical institution will be created, and it will be unique in format, scope and level of equipment. The center will be able to provide high-tech heart surgery and cardiac care not only to Samara residents, but people from other regions. The investor is the Samara company "Sovremennye medicinskie technologii", which attracts 3 billion of internal and borrowed funds for the implementation of the project. A plot of land was granted by the regional government for the construction of the center.
The project works were carried out by the investor with the participation of German and Russian design organizations, taking into account the views of leading Samara Regional Cardiology Dispensary specialists. In accordance with the requirements of RF Town Planning Code a positive positive findings of government expert review and a building permit was received. At the moment the five floors construction of the building is fully completed, works on utility lines packing are almost done, interior decorating has started. Already this summer the center will start working”.
Nikolai Merkushkin also noted that several years ago the public-private partnership in Samara region has evolved haphazardly and fragmentary. However, in 2015 - 2016 a launch of a number of capital-intensive projects in the social sphere, namely more than 10 regional and several municipal projects, affected the substantial improvement of the region position in terms of public private partnership development regional ranking.
