The visit of the Samara Region Governor in IMC "Heart Clinic"

Today, September 16, 2016 the construction site of International Medical Center "Heart Clinic" was visited  by the Samara Region Governor Nikolai Merkushkin. Head of the region personally inspected the progress of construction and held a working meeting with the top officials of the area. The event was attended by the Samara Region Health Minister Gennady Gridasov, Minister of Economic Development, Investments and Trade of the Samara region Alexander Kobenko, the director of the Samara Region Compulsory Health Insurance Territorial Fund Viktor Mokshin, the director of the investing company "Sovremennye medicinskie technologii” Sergey Shatilo, CEO of IMC "Heart Clinic" Anna Makovskaya.

Sergey Shatilo gave a tour of "Heart Clinic", showing the guests almost ready corridors of the future hospital. The first floor will take diagnostic department, currently the preparatory works for placing "heavy" equipment - MRI, CT and X-ray – are on the way. Sergey Shatilo told the governor that "Heart Clinic" will cooperate with international manufacturers of medical equipment and supplies. On the basis of the medical center there will be the reference centers of Philips and Medtronic, which means that doctors will be trained not only from Samara, but also from the whole Russia, and accordingly, this will lead to the further development of cardiac surgery in the area. "Today "Heart Clinic" is the most actual project in Russia, both for the execution and packing. The equipment that we purchase, not only is the most up-to-date, its unique because intended specially for heart surgery. At the moment in Samara there is no equipment of this class"- Sergey Shatilo said. According to the investor, at the moment the building construction readiness is 80%, the equipment was purchased by 50%. Heavy equipment is already in Samara, it remains only to purchase the equipment with small delivery time.  The works on urban land improvement have started, so it will be possible to commission the building in winter.

Nikolai Merkushkin highly appreciated the project, noting that the erection speed of such important object has slightly slowed. The governor stated that the efforts will be put to make the construction go on. Head of the region said that the center is important not only for the Samara region:  "We want to make a multi- regional center. We expect that "Heart Clinic" will work for the inhabitants of the area by 40 - 50%, and about 5-6 thousand operations more will be done for the people who will come to us. The acting Cardiology Hospital has adapted Facilities. We have very good specialists, and now we have a world-class facility. We need to create the conditions for these professionals to enable them to develop their professional skills. In the next 20 years, a new cardiac center will guarantee assistance to the people of the Samara region and, in addition, it will be a big help to our neighbors".
